Prevention

Recovery and Prevention Resources delivers professional research-based prevention programs to youth of all ages throughout Delaware and Morrow counties. Children from pre-school through high school in all school districts participate in these programs. We also offer programs for parents, families and the community.

Our prevention programs are based on the theory of risk and protective factors. Using this as the foundation, our staff implement programs designed to increase protective factors and decrease risk factors that are associated with substance abuse and other negative behaviors in target populations.

Each year, thousands of youth participate in our prevention programs. You can read about many of the successes in our prevention outcomes reports.

Additionally, many adults participated in various prevention/community education activities including smoking cessation and parenting retreats.

Our prevention staff includes Ohio Certified Prevention Specialists and social workers with over 75 years of collective experience in the field of prevention.
